You certainly can! Insulin Outlet offers prescription fulfillment services that allow customers to save up to 80% on their insulin!
It is perfectly legal to purchase your Apidra® from Insulin Outlet! You cannot order medication from us without a valid prescription from a certified US doctor. If your doctor is located outside of the US, we will not fulfill your prescription. We do not ship more than 3 months’ supply at a time. We ship all of our medications from a licensed Canadian pharmacy in Manitoba. To ensure the safety and reliability of our services, we follow federal legislation in both Canada and the United States.
No medication is shipped without a valid prescription from a US doctor’s office. We cannot ship out medication without a prescription, even if it is available over-the-counter in Canada.
You can upload your prescription under the Upload Prescription tab. It can also be emailed to us at info@insulinoutlet.com. We will send a follow-up email ensuring it has been received. You can also send your prescription through fax at 1-888-804-1287.
Yes, we can! At checkout, please provide the contact information for your doctor’s office or pharmacy. In general, transfer orders are the slowest way for us to obtain your prescription. Please be aware that we do not control the policies and procedures of transfers at your doctor’s office or pharmacy. There may be a lengthy wait at some doctor’s offices and pharmacies. In the absence of the prescription, we would not be able to begin processing your order. This would delay the shipment of your order.
At this time, we do not accept health insurance. There is no coverage reflected in any of our prices.
All of our insulin shipments are packaged in temperature-sensitive containers. We offer insulated packaging and temperature-graded gel packs that ensure your medications stay fresh during shipping.
We charge $29.99 for shipping due to our detailed packaging. See our Shipping Rates page for more information.
Always follow the guidance and instructions of your healthcare prescriber. They are able to understand the details of your health and provide you with the best advice in regards to taking any of your medication. In general, it is recommended that Apidra be taken 15 minutes before or 20 minutes after beginning a meal.
Humalog and Apidra® are similar. Both of these medications react quickly to insulin. According to their manufacturer Sanofi-Aventis, Apidra® (insulin glulisine) works faster than both.
Apidra® (insulin glulisine) is flexible mealtime insulin that acts quickly and adapts to your mealtime needs. An injection of this medicine should be given to the stomach, upper arm, or leg approximately 15 minutes before indulging in a meal or within 20 minutes after eating.
In contrast, Apidra® (insulin glulisine) is a long-acting fast-acting insulin that increases effectiveness within 15 minutes, peaks in about one hour, and remains active for two to four hours.
Combining Lantus® and Apidra® (insulin glulisine) is not recommended. Apidra® (insulin glulisine) and NPH insulin (Humulin N or Novolin N) are the only insulins that can be combined for subcutaneous injection. If you want to control blood sugar during the day, you can combine Lantus® with Apidra® (insulin glulisine).
Insulin glulisine must be prescribed individually. People receiving insulin therapy should monitor their blood sugar regularly. Usually, between 0.5 and 1 unit are needed per kg of body weight per day, though there may be some variation.
